Aged SAYBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) — Two adult males from New York condition stole cooking oil in Previous Saybrook and struck yet another driver in Westbrook as they fled, police mentioned.

An owner of a restaurant on Boston Write-up Highway in Outdated Saybrook known as 911 all-around 9:30 a.m. Thursday to report that he experienced just interrupted a theft of cooking oil and that the suspects took off in a Property Deport rental truck. He directed law enforcement to a nearby restaurant, in which police mentioned he saw the suspect automobile and the adult males attempting to steal cooking oil from that restaurant.

Law enforcement said employees confronted the guys ahead of they fled into Westbrook and struck another motor vehicle. The driver of that car, who police mentioned was an aged lady, is in stable issue with insignificant injuries at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Both of those suspects are becoming held by Outdated Saybrook law enforcement on bond and are owing to surface in Middletown Excellent Court Friday, according to the law enforcement section.
